Urban Agriculture Sites in Chicago

Throughout the city of Chicago, there are many different types of urban agricultural sites. These sites can include both public and private growing spaces such as a community garden or an urban farm. These sites offer opportunities to either grow or purchase locally-sourced produce depending on the type of garden. However, many of these sites are either unknown to the public or are not being utilized to their full potential. In being able to include the public in data collection, we can begin to record information about each site. This process will help generate public awareness regarding these sites and help keep track of their current state of production. This will help connect individuals with opportunities to grow or purchase fresh, locally-sourced produce within the city of Chicago!
