Louise de Marillac was canonized in 1934.  On April 6, 1950, her monumental statue took its place in the last internal niche inside St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.  The Vincentiana Material Culture collection at DePaul University recently aquired a news photo of the statue as it was being wheeled into the basilica for its installation.
