Business Development Summer Intern – Vitality Plug
Vitality Plug is an emerging health & wellness brand that offers nutritious organic products, such as Sea Moss. Our founder, Caden Bush, created the brand in April of 2024 while attending DePaul University. Establishing our roots in Lincoln Park, we look to expand our reach and impact all throughout Chicago in 2025.
Our business development summer interns will gain real-world experience in fun and dynamic environments. Interns will be tasked to educate and sell our products to cold & warm traffic at our booths. We offer a 14 week, commission based, part-time internship. Interns will be compensated for their accomplishments after reaching sales goals & quotas. The structure will be outlined in the offering letter. This role will primarily take place within shared business spaces. Farmers markets, sporting events, pop-up markets, & professional environments. Interns will track and log their hours + accomplishments for compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic sales: Drive sales for Vitality Plug’s products through direct engagement in shared business spaces.
Build strong customer relationships by educating customers and delivering a consultative sales approach.
Identify high-traffic opportunities for brand exposure and execute strategic outreach to maximize sales conversions.
Drive social media follower acquisition through direct consumer engagement.
Strategic Planning: Assist in setting objectives and identifying the resources needed to achieve them.
Aid in the preparation of products and events.
Present a monthly consultation with CEO sharing business ideas or projects. (Team project)*
Strategic Growth: Participate in weekly team calls regarding training, progress, & personal ventures.
Deliver a monthly brief synopsis of your success, takeaways, & concerns.
Utilize allocated resources and network to activate growth as a professional and intern.
Required skills: Educational Background Pursuing a degree in Sales, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
Sales Skills: Ability to drive Ability to drive sales through sales pitches and product knowledge.
Ability to pivot around objections and concerns.
Fast paced professional who thrives in pressure.
Able to build genuine relationships with cold/warm traffic.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities.

Customer Service: Experience working directly with customers; retail/food etc.

Are you a creative, motivated DePaul University student passionate about marketing and social media? MyFive, a start-up focused on helping people share and discover entertainment with friends, is looking for a marketing intern to join our team in mid-March!
Responsibilities:
• Manage MyFive’s TikTok account.
• Create engaging and innovative TikTok content.
• Gather product and market feedback.
• Brainstorm and execute guerrilla marketing strategies to captivate our target audience.
Qualifications:
• Enrolled at DePaul University, majoring in marketing or a related field.
• Have an iPhone.
• Comfortable in front of a camera and skilled in content creation for TikTok.
• Familiarity with current TikTok trends and platform strategies.
• Strong creative and communication skills.
• Organized and hard-working.
