Lab 03: Creating Interactive Maps using ArcGIS Online

Founded in 1948, DePaul’s Department of Geography is the largest and most comprehensive in the city of Chicago. Our mission is to provide students with a high quality geographic education in which teaching and research excellence are paramount. Geography students explore a range of subject areas including urban and cultural analysis, political geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and issues of sustainability, conservation and development. DePaul’s Geography students can achieve membership in the national Geography Honors Society, Gamma Theta Upsilon, compete for departmental travel scholarships to attend the Association of American Geographers national conference, and obtain our GIS Certificate in one of Chicago’s best known and well-established geotechnology programs. In 2016 the American Association of Geographers honored DePaul’s Department of Geography with its award for Bachelors Program Excellence.
