BIPOC Mental Health Month Toolkit

Counselors are essential to promoting the mental health and well-being of all individuals, and this is especially true for people in BIPOC communities. Join us in celebrating and centering the mental health of BIPOC clients this July!

BIPOC Mental Health Month highlights the unique mental health challenges and needs of historically disenfranchised or oppressed racial and ethnic groups in the United States. Black and Indigenous people and other people of color (BIPOC) experience a broad spectrum of ongoing discrimination, oppression, and inequity, all of which contribute to a range of collective and individual mental health challenges in those communities.

In honor of BIPOC Mental Health Month this July, ACA has gathered a variety of resources and tools to help support you in your mental health advocacy efforts or professional practice. From fact sheets and infographics to our new Color Me Brave series, you’ll find everything you need to acknowledge this important month of awareness with us.

Thank you so much for being a part of the ACA community and for everything you do to help support the health and well-being of your fellow community members!
