Candy and Questions

What you need: Skittles, Starbursts, M&Ms, or any type of colorful candy you prefer.

Assign each color of candy a different question. Have participants choose a colored candy at random. Get into small groups with people who have also chosen that color/candy. Answer the corresponding question assigned to their color. Everybody gets a turn!

Examples:

Red

 

What is your favorite red vegetable?
Yellow

 

What is your favorite television show?
Orange

 

Who, whether dead or alive, do you admire?
Green

 

How do find joy in life?
Blue

 

How do you most powerfully connect with others?
Purple

 

When you are not at your best, how do you overcome that?
Brown/Chocolate

 

Describe a moment in the past week that made you fall in love with life, made you appreciate the space you were in, and/or made you grateful for the precious time spent.

 

This is a great activity to get the group of people to warm up to each other. This icebreaker simply aids in fostering community by opening up to people and conversing with others about something specified. The possible questions are endless!
