Teodora “Tea” Preradovic

For Tea Preradovic, working remotely for The Creative Process was a challenge. Initially, she found it hard to understand instructions when given remotely, but Tea was eventually able to learn how to work independently and have more autonomy over her work.
As an associate podcast producer and interviewer, Tea’s job was to listen to, edit and provide insights on the interviews conducted by The Creative Process with creative figures like artists, writers and actors.
“This internship supplemented my education because it gave me a place to apply my communication skills in a creative space that is trying to promote the importance of creative education and application for students,” she says.

Though she made this situation and workplace experience work for her, Tea is looking for something with a little more structure and oversight in the future.
“Although I believe the skill of autonomy and independence is important in a work environment, I’ve found instruction to be important for my successful execution,” Tea says. “I’m torn between looking for instructional and disciplined positions for comfort and looking for autonomous positions that can help me further improve this aspect of my work ethic.”
