I am a filmmaker, or rather “visual raconteur”, with over 30 years cumulative experience in media production, having witnessed first-hand the technological and procedural trends in the film and television industry from the late 80’s to the present. I am an advocate of media literacy, having developed instructional programs at The Boys & Girls Club of Lake County and Waukegan Public Schools. As a young film student at Emerson College in the 90’s, I shot and edited 16mm film on Bolex and Arri cameras, and delved into film history and theory, writing for the Latent Image film journal. 20 years later, in graduate school at DePaul University, I explored evolving digital film, virtual, and Ai technologies and stage managed shows, particularly The Visiting Artist series under professor Jonah Zeiger, the former Deputy Commissioner for the Chicago Film Office. Currently, I’m a freelance filmmaker and the Video Producer/Instructional Designer for the Driehaus School of Business at DePaul University.
