I made a post about skin products I like to use a few months back, but I decided to switch things up and try Curology.
For anyone who hasn’t heard of Curology, it’s a customized skin cream made specifically for your skin texture. The process is kind of like going to a dermatologist, but you never meet with your dermatologist in person.
What you do is go on their website and take a short self-assessment about your skin. It asks you questions about if your skin is oily or dry, where your breakouts occur, common questions like that. Then it asks for a few pictures of your face without makeup so they could get an idea of the type of skin you have.
It takes a few days to hear back from one of their dermatologists, but they’ll match you up with one who will cater to your skin type and answer any questions you have. The first bottle is free ($5 shipping, it’s a sample-sized bottle but technically free) and you get a free first consultation with their dermatologist.
To keep getting the product, you basically have a subscription and then they send you a bigger bottle either monthly or every other month. I think I got charged $39, so I think that’s every two months I will get charged.
The downside is it took a while to get here. It took almost three weeks, so don’t order it if you’re eager to fix your skin right away.
I have only used it three times since I got it. You have to do your normal face wash routine every night, and then apply this at the end. This only works on facial skin and is not recommended for back and chest acne.
I don’t exactly have bad skin, I get a pimple here and there, but nothing major. I just wanted to try it out and see if it prevents a few pimples that come every so often. I will post more results in the future.
