The school held its Ledger & Quill Speaker Series, “Meet Success at the Intersection of Accounting & Entrepreneurship,” in September 2017. Co-hosted with the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center, the event featured a panel of alumni entrepreneurs sharing their stories of business opportunities, challenges, successes and lessons learned across a variety of industries, including technology, hospitality, finance, and professional services. The panel was moderated by Bruce Leech (MBA ’81), executive director of the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center. Speakers included Carol Bramson (BUS ’89), founder, Peak Ingredients; Rob Paquesi (MBA ’10), founder, Paquesi Partners, LLC; Darren Guccione (MS ’96), founder, Keeper Security; and Gabriel Weisman (BUS ’08), founder, Beavers Donuts.
