Top 5 Places on Campus in Lincoln Park
At DePaul’s Lincoln Park Campus there are endless areas to visit on and around campus. Whether you’re beginning your journey at DePaul or already a student here, there are always new places that you may have never known about, which can support you physically, mentally, and academically.
1. STUDENT CENTER – One of the most important spots on the Lincoln Park campus where students hangout, eat, socialize, and host events. Located here is the dining hall, restaurants, offices, lounge areas, and much more along with various events from mental health seminars to fun weekend events.
2. SCHMITT ACADEMIC CENTER (SAC) – Inside here are plenty of study spots along with the Arts & Letters Hall located across the street. However you decide to spend your free time it is important to ensure your academics, skills, and services are taken care of. Offices such as Identity-specific Cultural and Resource Centers, Career Center, Center for Writing-Based Learning, DePaul Central, a cafe, and many classrooms can all be found in SAC.
3. RAY MEYER FITNESS CENTER – Improving your mental health goes hand in hand with fitness and exercise making you feel stronger, healthier, and more confident. There are multitudes of machines, equipment, and facilities including cardio equipment, basketball courts, a swimming pool, a track, fitness group sessions, free weights, and the best part is it’s free for DePaul students!
4. THE QUAD – A large outdoor open space for students to picnic with friends or study or play sports or just hangout. Located at the center of campus this is where many students choose to relax. The Quad offers openness and nature the middle of the city. There’s always fun events like FEST, Christmas Tree Lighting, and Welcome Back BBQ.
5. RICHARDSON LIBRARY – The campus library houses innumerable of books, study rooms, and computers, and printers students can utilize throughout their time at DePaul. Focusing on homework and studying at the library can be easier since there are various rooms and locations that are quiet. During finals the library has extended hours to help with your studying needs.
