Things To Do Near O’Hare Airport

Whether you’re flying in or out of the airport, there are plenty of things to do around O’Hare. Less than ten minutes from O’Hare is the Village of Rosemont. It is home to a variety of amazing hotels, great dining options, an outlet mall, a professional baseball field, and more! My favorite hotel in Rosemont is the Sheraton, and I would highly recommend staying there. The last time I was in Rosemont, I had an incredible time exploring the hotel and the dining options they offer. This hotel is clean, has a great lobby, and has a 24-hour Starbucks. During your stay here you’ll run into plenty of pilots and flight attendants since it’s so close to the airport. In fact, the hotel is airplane-themed and has beautiful decor.

A fun activity to start your day is Fitness in the Park! Rosemont hosts FREE outdoor workout classes all summer. They have yoga, Zumba, and PowHerHouse classes in Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park located in the entertainment district. I attended a 10 am yoga class and had a blast. There were all kinds of people in attendance and the classes accommodated many different levels of fitness. They encouraged participants to do what their body felt most comfortable with and to take the class at their own pace. The overall experience felt like a great introduction to yoga and was a beautiful and encouraging way to begin the day.

If you want to grab a bite to eat after your workout, Land & Lake is an amazing option! I got my favoritesCaesar salad and chicken fettuccine Alfredoand loved every bite. This restaurant is just a short walk away from the Sheraton and a nearby Holiday Inn. It is also less than ten minutes away from the entertainment district, which is home to an AMC, an Indoor Skydiving Experience, and plenty of other excellent restaurants.

After your late lunch or early dinner you can head back to Impact Field in the entertainment district. That’s the home of the Chicago Dogs, a local baseball team playing in the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball. Impact Field holds over 6,000 people. Watching a game there is so much fun!

Or you can spend your day at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago. I love this mall, and last time I was there I got so many amazing deals on purchases I’ve been wanting to make. I shopped at Aritzia and spent about half of what I would’ve at any other location! This outlet mall has a great food court as well. I stopped at Kong Dog, a restaurant that also has a location near the DePaul Lincoln Park Campus. I got my favorite potato mozzarella Korean corn dog and it was the perfect way to finish my day in Rosemont!
