Thank You DePaul!

Well that’s wrap for me! 3-ish years and my time at DePaul has come to an end. Even though I cut my time short by graduating early, I can’t explain how much I’ve enjoyed my time here. It’s crazy to think that I was just exploring DePaul as a senior in high school a few years ago and not knowing in my mind that I would go here. Although it wasn’t my first choice, I would not go back and change the college I chose to go to. There is so much DePaul has given me that no other university could have.

I started here nervous to grow up and branch out in college. From living in my tiny dorm room and struggling in school, to getting my first apartment and learning how to time manage and stay organized.

I began DePaul not having any real work experience, but throughout my time here, I’ve had 6 different jobs/internships, which included retail, finance/accounting internships, and on-campus jobs, all being very great and different experiences. One which even led me to a full-time position after graduation.

I’ve gone to so many concerts, seen 2 of Obama’s speeches/talks, studied abroad, and went on a service immersion trip all in my time here.

Chicago really has been my campus, and has taught me to be adventurous, open-minded and   patient. The city has provided me so many opportunities professionally and always offers so   many activities no matter what the weather is.

Lastly, I wanted to give a thanks to my parents and brother for pushing me no matter how hard   things had gotten and reminding me that everything is good in the end. Also a big thanks to the   friends I’ve made here for pushing me to be my best and pushing me to always better myself.

I hope you those of you reading this enjoy your time at DePaul and make the best of it. In the words of Ferris Bueller:

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it .”

Thank you, DePaul.
