Rosemont Outlet Mall -xoTani
The first store we went to was the Nike outlet store. I looked through the entire place, and two things caught my eye – shorts and shoes. The shorts were basic black, but a staple to have in your wardrobe. The shoes were a pair of VaporMax Pluses. As I already own similar-looking shoes, I decided to pass on them and get the shorts instead! I needed some standard socks as well, and decided to grab a pack of those as well.
Before we kept going, we wanted to have a little snack. I decided to get some Cajun Fries from Chicago Burger Company. They were generous with the quantity and served them hot and delicious. It gave us the perfect amount of energy to keep going.
The next store was Lululemon. With fall right around the corner, I picked up a bright pink jacket, which acts like a windbreaker. It is light and pretty, perfect for when it is cool but not cold. I cannot wait to wear it outside when the air gets a bit crisper.
It was around 4 pm now, and we were all really hungry. We made our way back to the food court and decided to part ways for a bit and reconvene with our respective foods. I decided to go for a slice of veggie pizza from Sbarro. It was delicious and very filling!
After sitting and talking for a long time, we decided to take the Uber back home, as our friend with the car was going the other way. Overall, it was a very fun day, and it is safe to say that we came home with multiple bags of clothes each! Summer/ Fall shopping is officially done on a budget!
If you do not want to take the Uber to the mall, another way of getting there is with the Ventra pass. You can take the Blue Line going to O’Hare and hop off at Rosemont. After a small walk, you can take a bus to the mall. The total commute can be a lot time-wise, but it is worth the shopping you can potentially do!

There are a few things that college students gravitate towards the most, one of which is cheap prices. Having access to pocket-friendly shopping options, such as thrifting, is an amazing perk of the city of Chicago. Similarly, outlet stores can help you find some great things at a cheaper price as well. Two types of things usually end up at outlet stores. Things with slight defects or things which were made too much of. A mall full of different outlet stores? That’s a great place for a college student to be! This is why we decided to go to the Rosemont Outlet Mall.
I was at a sleepover in Buffalo Grove, and on my way back to Chicago, I made a pit stop at Glenview so that my friends could scoop me and we could make our way to Rosemont! The mall opens at 10 am, and we were there by 10:15 am. As this place is far away, we wanted to spend as much time there as possible.
My friends and I decided to just roam around in some luxury stores for fun, such as Burberry and Gucci. We were definitely not going to get anything from there, but we wanted to just peek in and see what they had to offer.
Aritzia was our next stop. I tried on a baby pink gym set and a brown Yankees hat. I fell in love with the hat and decided to get it! Unfortunately, the hat was not on sale, but I could not resist getting it! It was simply very pretty. Having gotten the hat, I decided to chill on the gym set.
My friends and I went to H&M next, and my roommates took a long time trying on a variety of clothes and buying some too! We roamed around in American Eagle and GAP just because we were there, and then called it a day for shopping.
