Loop Life Office Activities
Tucked away on the first floor of DePaul Center, Loop Life Office is across from Barnes and Noble, next to the elevator which takes all students to the elevators of the building. While from the outside it may seem like just a normal office space, the activities they have to offer are brilliant!
2. Aura photos
My friends and I decided to all go and take an aura photo just to enjoy ourselves. Then we noticed how the Loop Life Office had gone the extra mile and hired a professional aura photographer to ensure that DePaul students would get a great experience. We were encouraged to keep all our digital devices away from the camera as they tend to bring in a lot of foreign aura in your space. Then the photographer asked us to rest our hands on some sort of device to read our aura and then proceeded to click a polaroid photo of us. He then quickly wrapped it in a mini envelope with information about what the colours we see represent in terms of our aura and also where our body chakras are present.
Besides these two instances, I have also decorated a gnome keychain with sparkles and also participated in a Pac-Man arcade tournament at the Loop Life Office. One thing is clear, after a long day at university, excitedly looking for something fun at this office has now become a part of my daily routine which not only uplifts my mood but also gives me many unforgettable memories.
Being a DePaul student has given me many opportunities to participate in on-campus activities. Through it all I gained a lot, whether that might be information about the history of DePaul or just some time for myself to rest amidst the busy college routine. One thing is clear, campus activities are one of the most popular aspects of DePaul. Previously on DeHub, I have even written a whole blog on “DePaul DAB”, which is one of the most famous student activity boards, however, one such underrated gem which I feel goes unnoticed by many is the activities that happen at the Loop Life Office.
1. Succulent Give Away
Last quarter, after one seemingly mundane day, I was leaving the DePaul Center and decided to randomly peep into the Loop Life Office. To my surprise, they were giving away a succulent per DePaul student and even had a painting station ready for the ones who wanted to decorate their plant pot. My boyfriend and I went ahead and picked our new kids and today their names are “Bobby” and “Eleonora” respectively.
