Five Place To Take Your Grad Pics in Chicago

Happy Grad Season! Whether you’re a high school graduate or a soon to be DePaul grad it is time to celebrate your accomplishment! I am particularly excited about this grad season because I myself am graduating! I also work as a freelance photographer and have had the opportunity to shoot graduates in these locations! Whether you decide to hire a professional or have your bestie take iPhone pics, these spots are perfect places to commemorate your achievement!

1. Art Institute of Chicago

The Art Institute is an incredible photogenic location, and makes for awesome grad pictures! The lighting is consistently beautiful due to the design of the building which creates a soft light on the subject. If you time your visit well, you can avoid large crowds!

2. Lincoln Park Conservatory

While I have not yet had the privilege to photograph a grad here yet, I myself took my quinceanera photos here and I love this spot! It is an indoor garden so there is no need to worry about rainy or cloudy weather! Your photos are guaranteed to have a perfectly landscaped background.

3.Campus Quad

Taking pictures in your campus quad is an awesome way to commemorate your campus life! I would recommend bringing a reflector or additional light if you’re shooting outdoors! That way you can make sure the subject is perfectly lit while maintaining a beautifully bright backdrop!

4. Chicago RiverWalk

The Chicago RiverWalk creates a beautiful backdrop for the subject! There are many senic spots along the path to choose from. Certain spots showcase more water, others feature skyscrapers in the backdrop. You can head all the way down to the path, or grab a shot on the stairs!

5. Wrigley Building

The Wrigley Building is an awesome Chicago location for all types of photoshoots! The stunning architecture will beautifully frame the subject! It makes for an awesome background while still allowing you to shine!

Congratulations Grads!
