Favorite Spots on and around DePaul’s Lincoln Park Campus

I want to share my favorite spots on and around the Lincoln Park campus. There’s a few spots I enjoy studying or hanging out with my friends on campus, but there’s also so much the neighborhood has to offer when it comes to activities, food, shopping and more!

After class, I like going to the second floor of the John T. Richardson library. Personally, I need a little bit of noise to work, so the second floor allows me to get some of my easy assignments out of the way while I catch up with friends. If I get hungry, I like to head over to either ETC for a small snack or the 312 Diner for something a little heavier like chicken tenders (YUM!)

Once I finish my homework, my friends and I usually head over to the Ray to get a quick workout in or we just play some volleyball or badminton in the small courts on the first floor, sometimes we even use the foosball table.

To end the day, we chill at the top of the Clifton parking garage to talk and get some amazing views of the Chicago skyline. Beware, it’s not the most enjoyable during winter though!

Now, for my favorite spots around campus. I love that there’s so many food options within a 5-10 minute walk from campus. Starbucks and Dunkin’ are always great when I need a little caffeine, or Tsaocaa when I’m craving some boba. When it comes to food, I LOVE Mexican food, so Old Pueblo Cantina on Racine and Webster is a great option. On the other side of campus, Homeslice is a great place for pizza and you can stop by Eiffel Waffle for some ice cream afterwards. Dog Haus on Lincoln has become a tradition for me and my friends because every Monday they do a 50% discount for students in the evening. Lincoln Park has so many different restaurants and I hope I can try most of them while I’m still at DePaul!
