DePaul DAB’s Spring Flea 2024!
The Spring Flea this year was hosted on the 19th of April, Friday. The whole LPC Quad was littered with mini white tents, filled with clothes, jewellery, art, vintage furniture and more. Something I want to highlight is the time flexibility. As the flea market went from 1 pm to 6 pm, many students were able to enjoy this event, regardless of their different schedules for the day. Many students were walking through the market, finding several things that they liked. I liked the variety of things this flea had to offer. Regardless of what your particular “aesthetic” is, they had a lot you could look at!
Overall, this event was another major success on behalf of DAB. They did a great job at organising this flea market, where people had tons of fun. As someone who had also attended the Winter quarter’s “Frosty Flea” which had live music, I am thoroughly looking forward to the Fall 2024 flea market!

DePaul is home to more than 350 clubs and organisations. One of the most popular organisations among these is the DePaul Activities Board (DAB). Their motto is simple: By students for students. Most of the events I have attended at DePaul have been organised by DAB. The first-ever official DePaul event I attended was the “After the Dark Axe Throwing and Bumper Cars” event. Ever since then, I have tried to go to as many DAB events as possible, including the latest 2024 “Spring Flea”.
This also includes me. At the first market stall I stumbled across, I was greeted by a pair of brand-new Black Nike Cortez. They were exactly my size and were being sold at 50% of their original price. Overall, a solid steal. I never leave my dorm without wearing them, to say the least.
My favourite stall at the flea has to be the crochet stall. They had several types of flowers and they all looked super cute. The best part about them was the fact that they all cost less than real flowers and these are low maintenance and never die. Alongside that, they also had mini cats and dogs keychains. If I had a bigger budget for that day, I definitely would have gotten them as well.
