$10 Movie Tickets!?

The process is simple, go to the DePaul LPC Student Center Information Desk and purchase the $10 coupons for movie tickets. You can purchase up to four tickets per student ID, meaning you can also enjoy a night at AMC with your non-DePaul friends or family! Then you can go to any AMC Theatre of your choice, whenever you want and swap the coupon for any move ticket you wish to see.

For my first experience, I even got a small popcorn and a cola for an additional $5. Talk about a steal! That day, I had classes in the loop and hence preferred to go to the AMC theatre located at State. The employees there helped me with the ticket process and then I enjoyed “Dune 2” on the big screen!

Overall, I would highly advise students to make use of the discounts and other perks being a DePaul student brings you. A list of other such offers can be found below!

Learn More about Demon Discounts!

One of my favourite things about being a DePaul student is just how powerful our student IDs are. Not only do they allow us to enter classrooms and dorms, but also keep track of our meal swipes and blue bucks. Additionally, there are many discounts and free entry passes at various places in the city such as the Art Institute of Chicago (a blog dedicated to my experience there is coming soon!).

An example of this has to be the $10 Movie tickets you can get for any movie of your choice to enjoy at any AMC theatre of your choice. I have taken advantage of this twice till now, and is something I would like to endorse to my other fellow/future students.

The second experience was a couple of days ago. I wanted to see a spooky movie at the cinema and hence got the tickets for “The Strangers: Chapter 1”. It was a night show which is why I ended up having dinner at the stu (Student Dining Haul) before I left. This is why I did not feel the need to get popcorn this time. The location I picked this time was the theatre at Clybourn, which was easy to get to thanks to the number 8 bus.
