Staying Social at a Distance

In the middle of a pandemic, it’s tough to keep in touch with people. Here are a few ideas of how to keep in touch with friends all around the globe, country, state, or even just neighborhood while still staying at least six feet apart.

Call and Text Regularly – you never know when someone could really just use a friend.

Find Personal Time – relax and make sure to keep up on your mental health. Humans are social creatures after all and being locked up isn’t the best thing for our minds.

Exercise – can’t just focus on mental, gotta think about physical health as well. Even a few no equipment exercises on YouTube can really help.

Try Something New – step out of your box and try something you’ve never tried before. Maybe a new skill or even just a new food.

Game a bit – your parents might’ve gotten down on you about gaming all day in the past, but in a pandemic, it can be a great way to keep in touch with friends. With tons of online multi-players out there, it’s easy to chat with each other while crushing the competition.

Virtual Concerts – with so many concerts streaming online, why not tune some in and enjoy!

Binge a Good Show – whether you binge or not is really up to you, but a good show could provide a great escape from the real world. Travel to the past or explore a distant land, it’s all up to you!

Social Media – love it or hate it, it connects people across the globe every day. Maybe consider using it to also keep in touch and find some interests of your own.

Keep an Eye on the News – don’t need to watch it all, but at least keep up to date on the latest news around the pandemic and the guidelines of the place as well.

Try to Keep Positive – it might be hard, but keep your head up and we’ll all get through his global pandemic.
