Post-Master’s CMHC Fellowship Opportunity (apply by 12/10)

Chicago Psychotherapy (private practice located in Lincoln Park) is currently accepting applications for post-Master’s Fellowship positions (Child/Adolescent Track and Adult Track) for 2022-2024.

At Chicago Psychotherapy, we believe in seeing clients for their strengths, understanding individuals in context, and working collaboratively with clients and their families in meeting treatment goals. We use gold-standard, evidence-based, and culturally responsive practices to support our clients, with an emphasis on individually tailored applications of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), and Family Systems Therapy (FST). We have expertise in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders, Mood Disorders, tics, pediatric emotion dysregulation, ADHD, Trauma, and adjustment-related concerns across the lifespan.

The fellows will carry a caseload of approximately twenty weekly clients, including children/teens ages 5-18, their parents, and/or adults. Within their weekly caseload, the Child/Adolescent fellow will have the opportunity to serve as a treatment provider on a large national study of the effectiveness of exposure-based CBT in treating pediatric Anxiety Disorders. This position will include weekly supervision by an LCPC, ongoing training in evidence-based practices, opportunities to give community-based mental health presentations/trainings, and support for the development of clinical expertise in evidence-based treatment of Anxiety Disorders. Fellows will receive the clinical hours and supervision required to qualify for IL-based independent licensure as an LCPC/LCSW.

Job Opening: School Counselor (St. Matthias School)

St. Matthias School is seeking a full or part-time school counselor beginning December 3, 2021. We are flexible on the number of days per week with the best-fit candidate. Interested candidates must be certified counselors or have completed coursework and field experience while awaiting certification. Additionally, candidates must have experience working in a school setting. The selected school counselor will be expected to work with individual and small groups of students as well as provide guidance and recommendations to staff members for supporting the mental health of students. Strong communication skills are required.

Job Opening: Director of Social Impact at The Community House

The Community House in Hinsdale, IL is hiring a Director of Social Impact.

The Director of Social Impact is a dynamic and collaborative leader responsible for planning and administering the functions of the Social Service operations of the organization. The role includes oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Counseling Center and our programming in the Willowbrook Corner neighborhood, which entails after school programming, summer camps, recreation activities, and community partnerships.

As a member of the Leadership Team, the Director will be involved in strategic thinking, evaluation of programmatic offerings, and implementation of systems and processes needed to provide excellent services. The Director of Social Impact will work closely with partner organizations to multiply overall impact on the community.

This position reports to the Executive Director and interacts frequently with the Social Services Committee of the Board of Trustees. The Director of Social Impact oversees the roles of:

  • Community Engagement Specialist, Willowbrook Corner
  • Staff Therapist(s) (FT and PT)
  • Counseling Intern(s)
