Celebrated in the month of April, Counseling Awareness Month (CAM) is a time of advocacy for the profession and celebration for the outstanding efforts of counselors in a myriad of settings as they seek to facilitate the growth and development of all people. The Future is… Self-Care, Advocacy and Inclusion #BurnBrightNotOut represents some of the avenues that are crucial in ensuring a brighter future for the counseling profession.
There are plenty of ways for you to join us in celebrating CAM and professional counselors everywhere!
- On Friday, April 8, join us for Teal Day to help raise awareness and support for professional counselors all across the country!
- We invite you to download our CAM Outreach Toolkit, which features downloadable social media images, a virtual Zoom background, CAM poster and more!
- Listen to our special curated CAM YouTube playlist, featuring inspiring and uplifting songs that will remind you to always #BurnBrightNotOut.
- In addition, you can also show off your CAM spirit by buying some special branded merchandise including the CAM/Conference 2022 t-shirt available at the ACA store!
We hope you join us throughout the month of April to help us bring more awareness to professional counselors and their much-needed role in helping to improve our nation’s mental health.
