CMHC Internship Opportunity- The Josselyn Center

The Josselyn Center (in Northbrook, Waukegan, and Grayslake) has opened their internship application process for the 26-27 year. Ideal candidates are those genuinely drawn to community mental health—students who are energized by complex cases, multidisciplinary collaboration, and working with a diverse client population. Because The Josselyn Center invests significant time in supervision and training, they especially value students who see Josselyn as a place they may want to stay beyond their internship.

Placement flexibility is also important. They Joselyn Center rarely struggles to fill internship spots at the Northbrook location, so students open to Waukegan or Grayslake will have a stronger chance of being selected.

The Josselyn Center encourages students to review their clinical internship website and reflect on the expectations of the role: weekly virtual group supervisions, working across the lifespan, supporting clients with SMI, navigating mandated reporting, and serving Medicaid populations. Students who view these experiences as meaningful opportunities to build a strong clinical foundation are often the best fit.
