Job Opportunity – inSTEM

inSTEM has been a part of DePaul’s Lincoln Park campus for over 13 years, providing middle school students with engaging, inquiry-based STEM experiences through hands-on activities and mentorship. The program was founded by Dr. Nell Cobb and is deeply connected to the Algebra Project and Young People’s Project. One of our key activities includes preparing students for the Flagway Tournament, a fun, movement-based math game that helps students build a strong foundation in number theory.

They are currently hiring for the following positions:

  • Math Literacy Workers (MLWs) – High school students
  • College Math Literacy Workers (CMLWs) – DePaul and other college students
  • Instructor for inSTEM – To lead and support the program

The spring program will begin in March for training purposes, with the official camp starting in April. Specific dates will be shared with applicants during the hiring process. The program runs for two weeks during the summer, with a commitment to work on Saturdays from 9 AM to 3 PM.
