  • ISAC Statement on Impact of On-Going Delays in FAFSA Data Processing – ISAC recognizes the various challenges due to the technical issues and on-going delays related to the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). Please see our full statement on this issue, including ways we can support students and families and our school partners.

 

  • Register Now! Spots Filling Up Fast for First Annual First Gen Symposium – The event will take place at North Central College on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (CT). Please visit the First Gen Symposium page to register and for more information on the conference including the invitation to submit a session proposal (deadline to submit a proposal is February 9) and to feature professionals who were first-generation students.

 

  • New Rural Illinois CTE Education Project – The Association of Illinois Rural and Small Schools (AIRSS), in partnership with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), has signed an intergovernmental agreement to support schools in providing a high-level, comprehensive needs assessment and equity gap analysis of career and technical education (CTE) programs in rural districts. In this new project, AIRSS will support schools in providing a high-level comprehensive needs assessment and equity gap analysis of CTE programs in rural districts. The goal for this work is to help rural schools communicate the difficulties of building CTE pathways and complete asset mapping assessment of current programming and resources. Learn more about this project here.

FAN curates a high-quality speaker series on a variety of topics relevant to our work.
