Here is a general summary of the position:

The Office of New Student & Family Engagement (NSFE) works to help ensure the quality of the student experience at DePaul University by providing programming and services that aid in students’ transition and integration process into the university community. NSFE is looking to hire a grad assistant (from November 2023-June 2024) to support our program areas:

  • Chicago Quarter: Required course in the fall that acquaints DePaul’s first-year students to the community, neighborhoods, cultures, people, institutions and issues in Chicago. Students also learn about university life, resources, and how to be a successful student.
  • Orientation: Mandatory program for all incoming undergraduate students designed to provide them with the tools for a successful first year at DePaul. Premiere DePaul (freshman orientation) occurs throughout the summer. Transition DePaul (transfer orientation) occurs throughout the summer and in advance of each quarter.

Reengage at IMHCA’s 2024 Conference

IMHCA is seeking breakout presentation proposals for our 2024 Annual Conference! The conference will be held March 22-24, 2024 at the Renaissance Hotel and Suites Glenview in Glenview, IL. 

The theme of this conference is Reengage. As we navigate our ever-evolving ‘new normal’, we have the opportunity to take stock of what we’ve experienced over these past few years, and the new perspective and value we have for our connections with friends, family, colleagues, and clients. 

We are looking for breakout presenters for AM and PM sessions on Saturday, March 23, and AM sessions on Sunday, March 24. Each session will run for three hours (9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00pm-4:00pm). Special consideration will be given to proposals for workshops that involve an interactive component in which attendees have the option to participate.

To submit a breakout session proposal for Saturday or Sunday, March 23rd or 24th, 2024 please fill out the proposal form in full:

Important Presenter Information: 

  • Each session is three hours in length, either 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm
  • Sessions are Saturday 3/23/24 and Sunday 3/24/24
  • The presenter(s) will receive a $750 honorarium for the presentation.
  • Notification of acceptance will be given by November 28, 2023
  • Our target audience is masters level counselors and masters level students in counseling programs.
