Call for Proposals – Counselors for Social Justice Professional Development Committee

Counselors for Social Justice (CSJ) Professional Development Committee:
Call for 2023-24 Graduate Student Research Showcase Proposals

The CSJ Professional Development Committee is calling for research presentation proposals from graduate students in counselor education for the new initiative, The Graduate Student Research Showcase during the 2023-2024 academic cycle.

This is an opportunity to talk about your research, regardless of progress (i.e., newly proposed research, data collection or analysis phase, completed projects). Accepted proposals will have an opportunity to meet with members of the professional development committee to record up to a 30-minute research talk to be added to our YouTube as part of the showcase series.

We invite solo presenters or presenting teams, and welcome masters level and doctoral graduate student presenters. Membership in CSJ is preferred but not required for all presenters.

We encourage proposals to align with our mission statement (see below), but we welcome presentations that focus on research outcomes, program evaluations, conceptual frameworks for advocacy and justice, and observations of needed advocacy within the counseling profession

Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis until August 31, 2023 or until all spots are filled.

Submit your proposal here: https://forms.gle/vUZD1hWpqdvuuQjx5

Questions can be directed to (professionaldevelopment@counseling-csj.org).
