The Office of New Student and Family Engagement (NSFE) is continuing to recruit graduate students to serve as Staff Professionals with Chicago Quarter classes for Fall 2023! This is a PAID position — graduate students will receive a $400 total stipend for completing spring training days, as well as a $1,750 total stipend for the quarter-long position in the fall. This is a great opportunity for rising second-year students looking to connect with undergrad students and practice their group facilitation skills. It is also a great opportunity for rising third-year students looking for additional income during the practicum quarter.
Chicago Quarter is DePaul’s version of the freshman seminar – it is a unique opportunity for first-year undergraduate students to gain invaluable experience from a teaching team consisting of a faculty member, a university staff member or graduate student, and an undergraduate peer mentor. As a Staff Professional, you have the opportunity to support incoming students as they transition to DePaul. This position places you in the classroom as a first-hand resource to incoming students as they navigate their first few months in college.
