The Illinois Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Issues in Counseling in collaboration with ISCA Presents: Strengthen Advocacy Relationships that Support LGBTQ+ Youth

This Webinar will highlight purposeful ways school counselors, school-based mental health professionals, and community stakeholders can collaborate and align social capital efforts to address the unique needs of LGBTQ+ youth in Illinois Schools. Dr. Matthew Beck will draw upon the school counselor-principal relationship as an intentional tool to bolster LGBTQ+ youth advocacy. This session will be interactive and reflexive as you learn how to start and/or strengthen your relationship-building skills that support LGBTQ+ students.

Webinar Targets:

  • Highlight the unique needs of LGBTQ+ youth in Illinois schools.
  • Learn how to engage in courageous and collaborative conversations with school stakeholders on the needs of LGBTQ+ students.
