This Master’s prepared behavioral health specialist is an integral member of the Rush Community Based Practices (CBP) team who delivers group based mental health care in a high school setting as part of a violence prevention research study. This role works in collaborative relationships with the study team, school partners, and other members of the CBP team to execute study activities and conduct a group-based intervention. The behavioral health specialist has knowledge of and competence in biopsychosocial assessment, mental health issues, and group facilitation. The individual who holds this position understands population management especially as it pertains to children and adolescents.
