Job Description: Provide off-site supervised parenting time to families who are court ordered for supervised visitation through the family court system. The Supervisor is responsible to observe the family interactions during the supervised parenting time, intervene when necessary to ensure the physical and emotional safety of the child(ren) and provide a written report documenting the interactions.
Visits will take place in parents’ home or at outside venues such as parks, libraries, or other locations selected by the family. Monitors will be required to pay complete attention to the visit at all times. This is a part time 1099 contract position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master Level Social Work, Counseling, or Child Development or related field. Social service experience or experience working with children and families preferred. Will consider current master’s level students.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and professional demeanor
- The monitor should be dependable, flexible and patient.
- Sensitive to the needs of the families we serve and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Capable of handling emergency situations if necessary
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to meet deadlines for written reports
- Weekend and/or evening available preferred.
- Minimum availability 3 hours per week preferred.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to stand or walk for several hours if needed
