Applications Closing Soon for Counseling Fellowships

The application deadline has been extended for 2022 NBCC Foundation Minority Fellowship Program awards. The new application deadline is Jan. 16, 2022.

Ninety (90) master’s- and doctoral-level fellowships are available for counseling students who are committed to working with underserved populations after graduation. Award amounts range from $10,000 to $20,000, and all of our awardees also receive a sustainability package that includes access to mentors, trainings, and professional resources.

Award amounts range from $10,000 to $20,000 and include fellowships in the following categories:
Up to 20 doctoral fellowships for students in counselor education and supervision programs
Up to 30 master’s fellowships for mental health counseling students
Up to 40 master’s fellowships for addiction counseling students
The MFP is made possible by a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and administered by the NBCC Foundation.

The application period for 2022 awards will close at midnight Eastern Standard Time on Jan. 16, 2022.

Race and Equity Credential: A Virtual Three-Day Training

This powerful experience will allow space to engage in meaningful discussions around race and equity, as well as provide a vehicle to gain access to tools and practices to best take action for this work in your school.

Job Opening: Employment Support Specialist

Thresholds is hiring a new IPS Employment Support Specialist. The ESS works with all members on their team who would like to or are thinking about obtaining a job by following the components of the Employment Supported Specialist Evidence‐Based Practices (SE EBP). Assisting members in obtaining and maintaining employment that is consistent with their vocational and recovery goals is at the core of SE. The specialist will be required to spend at least 60% of direct service time in the community to engage and support consumers, family members, and employers.

This role will work with job-seekers living in Woodlawn and surrounding neighborhoods. Thresholds is able to provide supervision for clinical licensure in Illinois at no cost (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC).
