  1. Turn off the news when needed – staying informed does not have to mean re-traumatizing yourself or sharing traumatizing content
  2. Move your body in an effort to stay present and grounded
  3. Find a safe space to experience and sit with emotions
  4. Connect with others who empathize, validate, and are committed to healing
