STEAMbassadors Mentorship Program

We are happy to announce the launch of recruitment for The STEAMbassadors Community STEAM Mentorship program!

The STEAMbassadors program is seeking college students, 18-24 years old, to work as STEAM Mentors during summer 2021. The initiative empowers college students (attending partnering two- and four-year institutions) to discover and strengthen their STEAM interests through mentorship and creative activity. STEAMbassadors are trained to engage elementary and middle-school aged youth in STEAM activities such as coding music, flying drones, building machines, and writing stories in online and face-to-face informal learning spaces. This year we will also have opportunities for mentors to choose from various summer employment placements in addition to leading camps. For example, hired mentors will be able to apply to work as leads in a tech lab, GIS mapping initiative, and more! We especially seek to hire mentors who match the racial identities of youth we are serving in different communities, prioritizing students who identify as Black, Indigenous, or Latinx.

For more information and to apply, visit: https://steamville.org/apply

To be considered for this employment opportunity, applicants will need to complete the 2-step application process. These application steps are best completed on a computer.

Application Deadline: Thursday, April 22, 11:59pm

Applicants Notified: Monday, April 26
