Paid Couples Therapy Fellowship Opportunities!!

Paid Couples Therapy Fellowship Opportunities!!

In case you missed our email last month, The Couples Clinic is now accepting applications for 2026 Paid Couples Therapy Post-Graduate Fellowships!

The Couples Therapy Fellowship is intended as a stepping-stone to a full-time position at The Couples Clinic. In fact, since the start of the fellowship we have hired approximately 75% upon completion of their fellowship! The remaining few have taken their fellowship experience and pursued endeavors such as PhD programs, becoming a Professor/Clinical Director in a Master’s Program, private practice and more! Couples Clinic therapists can earn up to six figures per year, doing the work that they love with an amazing team of colleagues who are like-minded in their commitment to excellence in couples therapy.

We offer the following formats:

Two-Year Post-Graduate Couples Therapy Fellowship

· Ideal for recent graduates who are beginning to work towards full licensure.

· Two full years of paid intensive training and supervision in PET-C.

· Click here and scroll down to “Fellow Pay and Benefits” for information regarding compensation and benefits of the Two-Year Paid Fellowship in Couples Therapy.

One-Year Post-Graduate Couples Therapy Fellowship

· Ideal for past graduates who may already be licensed or will be within a year.

· One full year of paid intensive training and supervision in PET-C.

· Click here and scroll down to “Fellow Pay and Benefits” for information regarding compensation and benefits of the One-Year Paid Fellowship in Couples Therapy.

Both Fellowship options are designed to generate highly competent therapists who will 1) have an opportunity to fulfill the supervision and clinical contact hour requirements for full licensure in the state of Illinois, and 2) put themselves in a great position to receive offers to become full-time Couples Clinic team members once the Fellowship has been completed if they demonstrate excellence during the Fellowship.

Application Timeline for Two Year Fellowship:

· January 15, 2026: The reviewing of applications begins. Applications will continue being received until all fellowship positions are filled.

· February 15, 2026: First fellowship offers are made.

· July 1, 2026: 2 Year Fellowships begin (potentially flexible).

(If you already have your full license, you may be eligible to start a one-year fellowship sooner).

The Couples Clinic is home of a team of innovative therapists and researchers who have created Pragmatic/Experiential for Couples (PET-C), detailed in the books, Emotional Intelligence in Couples Therapy, and Developing Habits for Relationship Success. PET-C is scientifically based, drawing from recent advances in neurobiology and the science of intimate relationships.
