Scholarship Learning Community on AI, Ethics, and Society

With support from the Office of Research Services, the AI Institute organizes the AI, Ethics, and Society Scholarship Learning Community (SLC) to bring together an interdisciplinary group of scholars to explore focused research questions related to the societal impact of AI technologies and ethical considerations for the development and deployment of these technologies in different domains. The activities of learning communities assisted in further cross-college and cross-program collaboration on AI-focused research projects and grant proposals, especially those with a societal impact. The SLC brought together faculty members from across nine different colleges and schools.
